Yay Dannon!

Yoplait donates $1 million a year to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research (“Komen for the Cure”). Breast cancer research is good, but the Susan G. Komen Foundation gives hundreds of thousands of dollars per year (over $500,000 in 2010) to Planned Parenthood, the United States’ largest abortion mill. That’s not the one we want to support!

Recently, Dannon (another yogurt brand we eat) has started a promotion benefiting the National Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization that does not support abortion providers. What an encouragement! I told Mary Ann about this and she said we needed to write and thank Dannon for this. She was right! I wrote to both Yoplait and Dannon, thus:

Dear Yoplait,
Please do not support the Susan G. Komen foundation until they stop funding Planned Parenthood affiliates. This frees up money so these affiliates can continue to perform abortions, which is horror enough, but abortion also increases a woman’s risk of breast cancer! Please support a breast cancer group that does not have ties to abortion, such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Thank you,
Daniel & Mary Ann Meyer

And

Dear Dannon,
THANK YOU for supporting National Breast Cancer Foundation, a breast cancer group that does not have ties to abortion. You must know that your competitor, Yoplait, gives to the Susan G. Komen foundation, which gives hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to Planned Parenthood affiliates, freeing up money for their abortion operations. What a horror–and what an encouragement to my wife and me to see Dannon taking a different path in this regard. We already liked your “fruit on the bottom” yogurt, but our appreciation has just deepened. God bless your company.
Sincerely,
Daniel & Mary Ann Meyer

May God grant that in our generation we will not only cut off all the tendrils of Molech worship that are reaching everywhere in our society, but return wholeheartedly to the Lord our God.

Update 2/2/2012: The Susan G. Komen Foundation has just de-funded Planned Parenthood!
